Red Tower:
Another tourist destination in Alanya, the Red Tower, is one of the structures built during the Alaaddin Keykubat period to see any attack from the sea. Alanya Shipyard:
The shipyard, which can be reached by boat from the sea or on foot along the aisles near the walls of the Red Tower, is 56 meters wide and consists of 5 compartments.
The shipbuilding facility in Alanya has historical significance, as it is the first Seljuk shipyard in the Mediterranean. Alaaddin Keykubat was awarded the title “Sultan of the Two Seas” after the construction of this shipyard.
Alanya Bedesten:
The structure, built of rubble and brick, has a rectangular shape. In the past it was used as a warehouse. Opposite the entrance in the center one row of columns was erected. In the center of the ceiling is a skylight.
Tophane on the castle:
Located next to the Alanya shipyard, it was built in 1227 on a cliff about 10 meters high. Tophant offers a magnificent view of the old streets and houses of Alanya. Strolling around the Tophane area, you can also see unique species of plants and butterflies.
Castle Ehmedek:
Ehmedek castle is located in the northern part of the Alanya castle and consists of two separate sections with three towers. The fortress was built by Alaaddin Keykubat I to prevent land attacks. It is known that Ehmedek was used as a military defensive structure from the period of the Ottoman Empire until the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
